I'd ask you to consider your inherent bias that a book written by an "other" would be less "good" -- and in fact only be published because of identity politics. Do you believe that whiteness is positively correlated with talent? If not, then why shouldn't we see a wealth of good books written by authors who never had the "right profile" until now?
