Okay, so some books you were forced to read in college is proof that books written by "others" (people of color? gay authors? writers with disabilities?) are just collectively not as good? Did you read any books by white men that bored you? If not, you were lucky. If so, why don't you automatically assume that giving white men greater access to lucrative publishing deals is going to result in boring books?
