This is an awful story, and I hope this boy is punished. But nowhere in the story does it indicate that this young man identified as a young woman as part of his plan to sexually assault anyone. That’s what JK Rowling gets wrong. I’m not saying women aren’t victims of sexual violence; I am saying that trans women shouldn’t be vilified for it.
